Finding ways to control your Brand SERP in real time (or near-to real time) is tough. Twitter boxes have been the go-to candidate for years. But Google is introducing more and more. YouTube channel boxes recently appeared (see here). The of course news carousels (but you have a distinct lack of control there).
For personal Brand SERPs, Article Boxes (or carousels) are amazing. In this case, my new article on SearchEngineLand popped up within an hour.
So, for journalists and reporters these are obviously a no-brainer (and easy to get). For someone who writes less regularly (in my case, once every couple of months), they are still viable, as long as you write for a blog or media platform that is a recognised authority in your industry.
