Every brand deserves a Knowledge Panel but sometimes brands need more than just one knowledge panel to make their different related entities distinguishable on the web.
Descript (the company) already has a knowledge panel. Wonderful 🙂 However, there should be a knowledge panel for Descript the software too!

Hi and welcome. I’m Jason Barnard. I’m the Brand SERP Guy and today, we’re looking at the Brand SERP for Descript. It’s a video and audio editing software that I use and it’s great. As they say, it’s easy as a doc and you basically just edit the text that it’s transcribed for you and it edits the video for you.
I believe it was Anders Hjorth who recommended this software to me and I now use it all the time. This isn’t sponsored, I just liked the software. Now, their Brand SERP is great. People also ask, videos and down at the bottom here we have related searches, best audio editing software. Maybe we would expect to see here as well as best audio editing software, best video editing software, since that’s their primary role, but that isn’t the point today.
The point today is to see results about here. The company Descript Inc., software company has a knowledge panel. That’s great. Ideally, what Descript would want is to have a knowledge panel for the software here and the company here. Importantly, it’s two distinct entities: Descript, Inc., the company, is an entity. And the software that it sells Descript, is an entity. Each should have its own distinct knowledge panel. Ideally, when you search Descript, you should get the knowledge panel for the software with see results, Descript Inc. underneath. And if you search for Descript Inc., you should see Descript Inc. with underneath see results about Descript.
That would be ideal. Something Descript might want to start working towards doing. Thank you very much and I’ll see you soon.
