He shows the different but interconnected Knowledge Panels: one representing Kalicube as an overarching brand and the other highlighting the Kalicube Pro software platform. Exploring Kalicube and Kalicube Pro: Unveiling the Distinct Entities and Knowledge Panels of the Company and Software Platform

[00:00:00] The Brand SERP Guy (Jason Barnard): Hi, I’m Jason Barnard, The Brand SERP Guy from Kalicube. And today I’m going to talk about the difference between Kalicube and Kalicube Pro, the company and the software platform. This is following a question from Hudson Odell. Thank you for the question, Hudson. Here we go.

[00:00:15] The Brand SERP Guy (Jason Barnard): This is Kalicube. It’s a company and we can see here we have the Knowledge Panel for the company. Then the top here we can see these different filter pills. If I click on pro it shows me Kalicube Pro with a Knowledge Panel for the software Kalicube Pro.

[00:00:31] The Brand SERP Guy (Jason Barnard): Now, that makes sense. We have a company. That company has created and commercializes the software platform, Kalicube Pro. Two different entities, two different Knowledge Panels.

Inconsistent Knowledge Panels: A Comparative Analysis of Different Companies and Software Platforms in the SEO Space

[00:00:43] The Brand SERP Guy (Jason Barnard): But then we look at other companies in the same space, SEMrush for example, SEMrush is a company and if I then search for SEMrush SEO tool, we see there is no Knowledge Panel. Then we look at Moz. Moz has the Knowledge Panel for the company once again. And if I type in SEO tool, we have this which is pretty interesting. The questions over here on the right hand side that could potentially be part of a Knowledge Panel, but it is not a Knowledge Panel.

[00:01:15] The Brand SERP Guy (Jason Barnard): Then we look at SimilarWeb, same thing, software company at the top here, we have extension. The extension doesn’t have a Knowledge Panel. The app doesn’t have a Knowledge Panel. And if we move to Yoast, Yoast is a search engine plugin, so it’s not the company. And this is the other exception alongside Kalicube, they have a company Knowledge Panel that makes sense. We worked with them on that three years ago. Screaming Frog, once again, SEO company. If I then look at a Crawler, for example, we’ll see, no Knowledge Panel, even though I can’t spell for the software.

Optimizing Knowledge Panels for Company, Software, and Audience – Key Insights by The Brand SERP Guy

[00:01:53] The Brand SERP Guy (Jason Barnard): Now, I think it’s hugely important to remember that the company and the software in the case of Yoast, Yoast BV, the company and Yoast. The plugin, Kalicube Pro and Kalicube, the company, different things, two different knowledge panels, both of which need to be optimized, because what you need Google to understand is who is the company, what is the product, and who is the audience. Three entities that need to be closely linked together with a very solid, close relationship.

[00:02:26] The Brand SERP Guy (Jason Barnard): I hope that was helpful, thank you very much, and I’ll see you soon.
