EB Pearls’ awesome business performance reflects a lot on their GMB and on the review sites on the first page of their Brand SERP. However, their fantastic reputation is turned right on its head on page two! That spells danger. What could they do? Care to listen to my advice for this case?

Hi, I am Jason Barnard and I’m the Brand SERP Guy. And today we’re looking at the Brand SERP for EB Pearls. Why have I highlighted over here? The 4.7 out of five, 19 Google reviews in their Google My Business. I’ll tell you because they’ve really dominated the Brand SERP. They’ve taken out an ad. They’ve got these rich site links.
If you look here, they’ve got this great reviews on clutch.co. That’s a nice Brand SERP with obviously a focus on reviews. But if you go through to page two, you can see here, we have one review, one rating, very bad on yelp.com. The problem there is one bad review on one review website can absolutely ruin your reputation.
If that got onto page one, now, what can they do? They can potentially, try to get Yelp to close that page because they are not a walking business, a restaurant or a bakery or something like that. They’re a website design agency. So they really shouldn’t be in Yelp. It’s not an appropriate kind of business for Yelp to be showing to its users.
No walk in business, not appropriate for Yelp, potentially they can have that closed and get rid of that problem. Thank you very much.
