YouTube Thumbnail Strategy Spotted on Powtoon’s Brand SERP

Sometimes looking at a Brand SERP can give you incredible insights on how to improve not just your Brand SERP strategy but also your SEO, branding, and social media strategies ;).

For this one, I spotted a groovy thumbnail strategy in Powtoon’s YouTube boxes.

They put a face to their company right there on their Brand SERP 🙂 A great strategy to copy now that YouTube Boxes feed your channel directly into Brand SERPs 😉

Watch until the end 😉

Transcript:

Hi, I’m Jason Barnard. I’m the Brand SERP Guy and today, we’re looking at a Brand SERP for Powtoon. If we look on the right-hand side, we can see that they’re a software company. We can see quite a lot of information about them, but I wanted to focus on the left-hand side today.

Starting off with these ads, then they’ve got their Rich Sitelinks and People Also Ask, then some videos, then Wikipedia, more videos, some reviews, Twitter and Crunchbase. Absolutely brilliant! What attracted my attention here, was here, we have these videos in the Video Boxes with these key moments which are brilliant, looks great.

And then we scroll down and we can see more videos from their YouTube channel feeding directly into the Brand SERP, and what’s especially interesting here, is that they’ve put a face to their company on their Brand SERP by showing this person’s face clearly in the thumbnails that feed into their Brand SERP from their YouTube channel. That’s absolutely brilliant. That’s a really great idea, an idea I think many of us would do well to copy.

Thank you very much and I’ll see you soon.
