Jennie Vee is a songwriter, guitarist and bassist – this phrase is what Jennie Vee keeps repeating over and over to Google on multiple platforms and websites. Google trusts these sources is now confident that this phrase is accurate and is confident to use the information in her Knowledge Panel.
Educating Google about who you are and what you do requires repetition. Google must receive that information from multiple sources. After sufficient repetition on trusted, relevant and authoritative sources, Google will be confident about the information and tell the world of who you are and what you do in your knowledge panel 😉

Hi and welcome. I’m Jason Barnard. I’m the Brand SERP Guy and today, we’re looking at the Brand SERP for Jennie Vee. Jennie Vee, according to Google is a songwriter. And as we can see from the pictures, she’s a bassist and guitar player as well. From what I’ve understood, she seems to have been a bass player in many groups.
We can see she’s played bass with Courtney Love supported Echo and The Bunnymen and the Manic Street Preachers and played with Tamaryn. And she currently plays in the Eagles of Death Metal with Jack Black, the actor. And what she’s done brilliantly here is although most of her credits in music are for playing the bass.
She’s managed to convince Google to call her a songwriter, which is presumably what she is most or wants to be most recognized for. One of the signals is Wikipedia. Now Wikipedia is a very strong signal. So when it says Jennie Vee is a songwriter, guitarist and basis, Google will tend to think, okay, songwriter, because it can only really put one job title here.
But these days, Wikipedia isn’t enough. There are many examples where Wikipedia says one thing and Google decides on something else. What she has done though, is gone through all of her, social media profiles on her site and she’s systematically saying, Jennie Vee is a songwriter, guitarist and bassist.
She’s been incredibly consistent about it. And that means that all the weight of evidence of her bass playing on albums and throughout her career, mainly bass is overtaken by songwriter because she insists to Google that that is how she wants to be referred to, which is brilliant. So congratulations, Jennie Vee.
