Multiple Video Vertical Variations on Jennie Kim’s Brand SERP

Brand SERPs are evolving rapidly and now it’s getting more and more complicated to handle!

Filter Pills offer search vertical variations on a branded search query, which helps users to dig down and get a set of web results that focus on a specific aspect (or facet) of the brand or person. Google is really making the search experience groovier and groovier for the users.

When filtering Jennie Kim’s videos on her Brand SERP, we can see that the results are modified and sometimes Google expands the set of Filter Pills in a vertical so that users can dig even deeper.

Hi, I’m Jason Barnard. I’m the Brand SERP Guy and today, we’re looking at the Brand SERP for Jennie Kim, who is a South Korean singer. And like many musical artists, she has lots of Filter Pills across the top, here in the USA. This is something I think will expand to the rest of the world soon, it’s currently November, 2021.

So we can expect to see this, I think in 2022 in the rest of the world. I absolutely love these Filter Pills. And as we can see, you can filter down into songs, into the news about her, the movies and TV shows she’s been involved with, the fashion that she’s done or been involved with and you can listen to her songs.

But today, we’re going to focus on the videos. We can see here, this vertical result of videos, absolutely delightful. But there are more because if we look here, we can look at a different vertical of videos, and these videos are not the same as these videos.

And so, that’s an important part of managing your Brand SERP because also on your own SERP you have different videos once again. And that means that in terms of video content, Google is pushing it more and more to the fore when it is available

And sometimes you get these Filter Pills at the top as you can see I didn’t get it the first time, I got it the second time. And these Filter Pills then allow you to dig down even further into specific types of videos, songs, for example or dance.

That means, the more we move forwards as entities on Google with the Brand SERP, we’re looking at an increasing number of different parameters, and variations on the content that Google is presenting to people who are researching us especially in the entertainment industry. But I think in the commercial industry, things are going to catch up fairly quickly. So, now would be a good time to start preparing.
