Groovy Reviews on Blacklist Coffee Roasters’ Brand SERP

Blacklist Coffee Roasters is an award-winning specialty coffee roaster and coffee wholesaler. They have a great brand SERP, starting with some wonderful Rich Sitelinks (with a couple of small criticisms).

They have amazing positive reviews from on their left rail and it’s interesting to see that these reviews are also displayed on their Google My Business panel (Google Business Profile)!

The reviews Google finds around the web for a local business are incredibly important (and valuable). They will often show twice on a brand SERP – both left and right rail. So it is fundamentally important to nurture them since they are a very visible badge of trust Google shows your audience when they search your company name 😉

Watch until the end.

Transcript:

Hi and welcome. I’m Jason Barnard. I’m the Brand SERP Guy and today we’re looking at the Brand SERP for the Blacklist Coffee Roasters. They save themselves right at the top of the SERP, incredibly helpful for me as a user, that they are an award-winning Specialty Coffee Roastery and Wholesale Coffee Supplier located in Perth, Western Australia.

Now let’s have a quick look at their Brand SERP and here we have some great Rich Sitelinks. Couple of criticisms, small criticisms. They could potentially remove these all caps, which I personally feel, looks like they are shouting. They could also potentially remove this terms and conditions, which isn’t actually very helpful or valuable to their users, their audience searching their brand name.

But I wanted to focus on the local business aspect and the importance of reviews, because if we keep scrolling, we see here some reviews and we see here some reviews. And then as we look over here, these are the Google reviews. And here we have these Facebook reviews that we saw earlier on repeated. Then we have here, the Uber Eats reviews repeated once again. So those reviews in the left rail will probably show or can potentially show in the Google My Business, Google Business Profile on the right hand side.

And last but not least these reviews at the top. Now for a local business, any local business, these reviews are fundamentally important because they will appear on the left and the right-hand rail. And if Google can show a lot of reviews, it will. So take care of your reviews as a local business even if you are a wholesale coffee supplier, rather than the coffee shop I initially thought they were.

Thank you very much and I’ll see you soon.
