Getting Rid of a Negative Result on Sole to Soul Footwear’s Brand SERP

A review platform showing high scores for your brand is very positive and convincing for your Brand SERP visitors. Having even a single review platform showing a low score can ruin the brand trust.

This unfortunate case can be seen on the first page of Sole to Soul Footwear. The company has a great Brand SERP with fantastic product reviews from their paid ads carousel and with high ratings on its Facebook page as well.

But further down, there’s a super-duper low rating from Yelp, which is pretty frustrating because it ruins the consistency of their groovy brand image.

Now how do you get rid of that? I will give three invaluable tips that will restore the confidence customers have for this business 😉

Watch until the end.

Transcript:

Hi and welcome, I’m Jason Barnard. I’m the Brand SERP Guy and today, we’re looking at the Brand SERP for Sole to Soul Footwear. And they’ve got products at the top, delightful there on their site and a map. Wonderful.

And as we scroll down, we see some lovely images and we see this, which is really unfortunate. They have bad reviews on Yelp. That’s very common, Yelp is a very difficult platform to manage. And I want it to focus on how to get rid of that.

Now, the first thing you need to do is look at this. For example, you could potentially get lots of new reviews votes on this one, which would potentially push it up above the Yelp one. And they could activate or get more active on their Instagram account that would potentially push it up above. And they can also look on to page two. And they can look at this, their LinkedIn profile, more activity on them or followers that can push it up on to page one, potentially above the Yelp reviews, pushing that down. That’s three results.

We’re at right now at the bottom. Yelp would then be at the bottom of that page. And the PS, the resistance, the cherry on the cake would be perhaps this one. Get some extra reviews on that extra activity, perhaps point to link to it from their own site that would push it up. And after awhile, if they keep working at it, they could get this down those three places and off that Brand SERP.

Thank you very much and I’ll see you soon.
