Over 10,000 Reviews for Shanghai 21. A Long Term Strategy That Pays

Shanghai 21 is a Chinese restaurant in New York with ten thousand reviews proudly decorating their Brand SERP!

That’s a lot of reviews for a local business. Although getting good reviews from customers can be difficult and often requires extra effort, businesses should strive to build up their customer review profile since it is the most effective way to persuade a prospect in a matter of seconds. When you do that successfully, Google will decorate your Brand SERP with attractive yellow stars.

Let’s have a look at this awe-inspiring restaurant. I’ll also share how these thousands of reviews accumulated. Watch until the end 😉

Transcript:

Hi and welcome. I’m Jason Barnard and today, we’re looking at the Brand SERP for Shanghai 21, a Chinese restaurant in New York City. Now, the reason I wanted to look at this Brand SERP is for the reviews. We all know that getting those reviews can be painful. It can be difficult asking customers, especially for a brick and mortar store.

Can you go online and give us a review? Because you’re satisfied, is very difficult to do. But this is a demonstration that building them up one by one, you end up with vast numbers of reviews and an incredibly good-looking Brand SERP, incredibly convincing. Who wouldn’t want to go and eat at this restaurant?

We have over a thousand reviews in Yelp with a score of four. We have this one, we have this one, TripAdvisor, GrubHub, Restaurant Guru. Scrolling down to the bottom, we have Foursquare, doesn’t end there. At the top of the right-hand side in Google, we have 1,657 Google reviews for an average of 4.5 and down here reviews from the web.

And these three reviews that Google has chosen make this look like a really attractive restaurant. They built these reviews up one-by-one-by-one-by-one. And they’ve ended up with over 10,000 reviews showing on their Brand SERP, left and right rail. Incredibly convincing, incredibly positive. I’m going to go to Shanghai 21 when I next go to New York City. See you there. Thank you.
